“You Write Just Like a Girl”

Boy, am I going to have sweet dreams tonight! Just before I turned in, I did one last blog check, and discovered that the wonderful, dedicated media activist Amy Jussel of ShapingYouth, has written the following about yours truly:

…Deesha herself is an amazing literary force, contributing a bi-monthly column for the excellent Literary Mama, writing a fabulous blog of her own, contributing news and reviews to a gazillion other blogs, (including Anti-Racist Parent where I originally found her witty prose, since Carmen Van Kerckhove is on our Shaping Youth advisory board) AND…somehow Deesha has managed to ALSO launch a helpful brand new site called CoParenting101.org…

Amy is a champion of good stuff for kids and truly a master of the blog form. Tons of great links and resources, blog entries that read like TV shows with cliff-hangers (only better)…and she wonders how I do it?  Shooooot…I wonder how in the world she does it.  But enough of this mutual admiration society.  Amy and I both give major props to the fabulous Michelle Sewell of GirlChild Press.  Amy published my review of Just Like a Girl: A Manifesta! as part of Shaping Youth’s “All Things Girl” Week, which, btw, is enjoying an extended run.

I’ll leave you to the reading.  For now this “amazing literary force” must retire to bed.
