I got PMS!
Finally–after a long wait–my copy of PoemMemoirStory (PMS) #8, a literary journal out of the University of Alabama, arrived in the mail today! #8 is a special black women writers’ issue, guest edited by Honorée Fanonne Jeffers, AND I’M IN IT! More accurately, my short story “Bomani Jones” is in it.

This is my first lit journal publication, and I am so thankful to Honorée for giving my story a place in the company of such phenomenal writers. My mouth fell open when I saw the list of contributors on the back cover, and I haven’t closed it yet. Check this out:
