I saw "Purple Rain" in the theater on my sixteenth birthday. I am still married to the guy who took me to see it. My sister still loves Prince so much. He once came to a huge outdoor amphitheater about a hundred miles from us. At the time, my sister was nine months pregnant - and broke and didn't drive. I bought her the ticket and drove her to the concert. On the way in, there were these huge ropelines, miles long, and my sister needed the portopotty and they wouldn't let her cross the rope line to go pee, wanted her instead to walk the whole way around. So there I was, yelling at this lady about whether she really was going to make a pregnant lady take the long route to the portopotty. Anyway, the concert was great. Afterwards, on the driving home, my little sister was laughing and said, "Who else is insane enough to drive a woman in her last month of pregnancy to a Prince concert?"
